So I just made a decision that I'm not sure I should have made. I mean- I am sure but I'm not sure I'll be happy with it. I was just offered a job at an insurance company as a claims rep. It would be a 25 percent raise. Well- just shy of 25 percent. I said no. Why? Why did I turn down a job that would pay substantially more and one that I would enjoy far more?

The hours at the insurance company are 10 to 7pm. I coach at 5:15 3 days a week. So I turned down almost 5 grand a year to coach- which nets me about 1 grand per year. I love my kids way too much to say I can't coach anymore. Even for a raise that would net me a fairly substantial raise. GAH!
Ok I had to vent about that a little. I need the money but I can't just walk out on the kids. Not for 4 or 5 grand. now... 20 grand may be another story. Anybody wanna double my income?
