Carley and I may be (read, hope to be) moving to the Portland Oregon area this year. I've started a little job shopping. What do you think about me being a city cop?

January
So this is the new website. Before anybody else comments, I have to say that it looks astoundingly cool and that my brother is freaking awesome. Yep yep.
Happy New Year to you all. Carley and I were bums and stayed home. But it's ok- we took some cool fireworks pictures. Every New Year, they launch a fireworks display off of Pike's Peak and it looks so cool. Once I get Coppermine set up, I'll have photos up. K. Bye!

My brother and I are working on changing the look and feel of this site. By that I mean my brother is working very hadr on writing clean, fast code that looks great and I'm bitching that it isn't what I see in my head. ANYway- I am looking for input. Until I started looking at it here (at work), I wasn't aware of how hard it is to read the text on this site. What should I change? What should I add? Take away? Colors and layout? What do you guys think?

December
Many of you already know this, but for those who don't- Carley and I are officially engaged. On Sunday, December 18th, I made her breakfast and asked her to marry me.
Being who she is, her response was, "Really? Are we getting married?" and I said, "Well, if you say yes. If not, I can always take the ring back."We're so romantic, aren't we.I caught her ogling her ring at least half a dozen times that morning. And I couldn't be happier. Most of you who read this have played major roles in shaping who I am today. Most of you have been instrumental in turning me into the man who knows that there is nothing better he could do with his life than spend it with Her. Whether you were a girlfriend, a room mate, a pal, a tryst, a lunch buddy, a blog buddy, family, or just a friend- you've been part of who I am now. So- thank you.
In other news, Miss Ice Cream is coming to Springs which means I get to meet a blogobud! FREAKIN SWEET! She'll probably freeze her little teacher butt off, but that's ok. Teachers don't need butts. She's a Southern Fried Weenie but it looks like it should be in the 40's and 50's most of the time she's here. This is exciting. Now if I can just get my OWN FREAKING BROTHER to come visit me, that'd be sweet. I mean shit- Dad's been out here and is planning his second trip. Mom just came out for the second time. Vanessa has never even met me and she's coming (to see her family but Carley and I get to take SOME of her time) out here. But my brother? My favorite Iowa High Schooler? noooooo... they can't make it. I see how it is.
