Sorry. I'm bad at keeping in touch. Ask any of my friends. The only reason I've managed to keep in touch with anybody is that they live with me (like my darling fiance) or they're patient enough to let me space out for a while. And I forget birthdays.
But I make a wicked good bean soup and some excellent pasta dishes too. So- in recent news, there isn't much news. Carley and I are working a lot. Money is tight but we're both hoping and trying to find jobs in Portland. The up side is that, if we get the jobs we're gunning for, finances get a LOT easier. The down side- we move again and get a little farther into debt before we get out of it. Mind you, we'd get out of debt a LOT faster taking the hit than not. If you want that explained- ask. I'm not gonna go into detail here. We'll just say that relocation assistance is a beautiful thing and I'm hoping to snag a very specific job that seems to offer everything I want out of a career. Fingers crossed, people!
In light of the fact that we may quite literally have more money than we really know what to do with, I've started thinking about what cars I would want (realistically) if I could afford a "fun" car and a sensible one. Carley wants a Toyota Tacoma. I want a Nissan Maxima (or maybe the new VW Passat, I've not driven one yet) and a 2006 Corvette (blue). More importantly than cars (yes, there are one or two items that rank that high) is the house. I started drawing the house I'd like for us to build. Yeah- build. Ideally (as in, we both get the jobs we want, we enjoy them and are good at them, and we are careful enough with our money to afford it) we want to build our house. Well- we want to design it and have somebody build it for us- but you know what I mean. Yep. That's about it, really. ok bye!
